Programme Details

This course is designed for returning students of Center4Tech Young Inventors Summer Camp or students who are familiar with basic Electronics and Arduino C++ programming. The main focus of this course is to introduce intermediate level electronics design and programming in C++ to participants with the aim of creating intermediate projects that use Wireless communications components.

The course will consolidate student's skills in building, making, creating, and programming in C++

Learning Goals
1) Apply engineering design process skills in creating the design process
2) Consolidate understanding of the circuits as a system
3) Create intermediate working electronic circuit projects
4) Write intermediate computer programs in the Arduino IDE that power electronic devices

Course Structure

Key Skills
1) Use Electronic components in designing intermediate electronics
2) Introduce advance electronic tools and components
3) Intermediate electronics schema􀆟c diagram reading and interpretation skills
4) Use communications modules such as Bluetooth, sensors, WIFI, RFID modules
5) Design, prototype, build and program intermediate working electronic circuits and devices in the wireless communiction domain
6) Program in the Arduino IDE
7) Develop Android Mobile App and port to phones which will then be used to wirelessly the electronic circuit prototypes

I learnt how to programme games. It was a very interesting experience learning how games are made although it could be confusing but my instructors put me through. The last summer camp I attended has to do with academic work but this is different. I had fun and made new friends.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn the basics of Electronics and Microcontroller Circuit Design & Coding. It was very educative.

Shalem Onyegbula
I learnt how to design my own mobile games, while doing that I also learnt how to code. It was fun, exciting and interesting.
