Young Inventors Summer Camp 2020

In our effort to stimulate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and encourage our children to take up Science-based subjects, Center4Tech is organizing a Technology Training Camp for primary and secondary school students tagged "Young Inventors Summer Camp 2020"

Courses will be taught by professionals and our mission is to inspire & equip young Nigerians with 21st Century technology skills that will help them to become tomorrow's problems solvers, Inventors, Innovators, Makers and Entrepreneurs.

    Tech and Career Talk
    Young Inventors Summer Camp 2018 will feature successful and experienced professionals in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Animation, Gaming and Media Industries during our tech talk events. Students will learn from the professionals’ experiences, ask questions and become well informed about what it takes to work in such an industry. They will also get to know the current trends and innovations in that industry and how that innovation contributes to the development of our society.
      Excursion & Tech Visit
      Young Inventors Summer Camp 2018 students will embark on Excursions to some tech companies to have an industry experience and also to interact with professionals working in that organization. This will give the students the opportunity to appreciate more what is being taught at the camp. This promises to be very exciting and fun.
        Financial Literacy
        Our partner bank will present special financial talks to all Young Inventors Summer Camp 2018 students on how students can manage and save their money for future use and investment. They will also stand a change to win SWAGS and Freebies from our partner bank.
          Fun & Play Time
          Every year, Young Inventors Summer Camp features students from top schools across Nigeria. This year, your child will have the opportunity to make new friends from other tops schools in Nigeria and also play and have fun with Microsoft Xbox & Kinect Motion-Controlled Videos Games.

          Mobile Games Design and Coding-2D

          Courses Code :     MGD101

          In this course, students will be experiencing and learning the production, design and coding process of Mobile Game Design, where they will create their own Mobile Games.

          Electronics & Coding Level 1

          Courses Code :     ELM101

          Microcontrollers will be based on Arduino which is used in over 300 Universities world wide. Center4tech students will learn digital and analogue input and output and the application and wiring of Sensors (Motion, Light, Temperature, Tilt Sensors), DC Motors, LCD Display and more to design and test real life circuits and products. Students will also write codes/programmes based on C/C++ and Processing to give logic commands to the Microcontroller.

          Mobile Games Design and Coding - 3D

          Courses Code :     MGD201

          Whether you're completely new to 3D game development but you have experience developing 2D games, this course is for you. Beginners can start with the basics of the Unity system with an explanation of how it works. This isn't an explanation of what each menu does one by one (that's boring), but a high level explanation of how the software functions from the perspective of a first time game developer. You'll then take that knowledge and build your first real game.

          Electronics & Coding Level 2

          This course is designed for returning students of Center4Tech Young Inventors Summer Camp or students who are familiar with basic Electronics and Arduino C++ programming. The main focus of this course is to introduce intermediate level electronics design and programming in C++ to participants with the aim of creating intermediate projects that use Wireless communications components.

          Mobile Apps Design & Coding

          Courses Code :     MAP101

          Mobile App Development Training is a crash course bootcamp style and provides an opportunity to learn various mobile application development frameworks that run on the mobile platforms and the Internet. Learn relevant skills and develop an understanding of the issues surrounding the Mobile Platforms and SDKs including: iOS, Android, HTML5 Mobile Web, JQuery Mobile, PhoneGap, and Windows Phone .

          3D Animation Level 1

          Courses Code :     ANM101

          This course provides students with the principles of animation. Student will learn design concepts such as squash and stretch, timing, path of action, anticipation, action-reaction, weight, volume, and staging. This course will also develop the student's animation design sense, with exercises in character design. The student will also learn technical skills to produce animation, such as how to flip and draw, and how to film animation using Light boxes & using punch sheets. Skills learned will be applied throughout the Digital Animation Program.

          3D Animation Level 2

          Courses Code :     ANM 201

          3D Animation level 2 course is designed for persons with previous knowledge of animation. In this course, students will learn intermediate level concept of animation including introduction to 3D modelling, UV mapping, texturing, animating and rendering. Skills acquired can be readily used in many industries, such as the games industry, the animation industry, advertising, architectural and medical visualization.

          Web Design & Coding

          Courses Code :     WDC 101

          This course introduces students to basic web design using HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)

          Tech Discovery (for 5-7 year olds)
